Two thousand years after the fact, new light is shed on Christ's hidden life as an initiate in the mystical society of the Essene Brotherhood. In the first English-language edition of the European bestseller, Anne and Daniel Meurois-Givaudan describe the way of life in the Essene communities of first-century Palestine. Through direct revelation, the authors received--over a two-year period--detailed knowledge of the Essene teachings and their role in preparing Christ for his mission. At once unpretentious and astonishing, this beautifully written and evocative story lucidly recreates the life and personality of Christ and his role in the spiritual development of humankind.
Since the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, questions continue to arise as to the identity of the Essenes and what role they might have played in the life of Jesus. This account complements the gospels, clarifying and enlarging upon mysterious parts of the record--including Christ's mystical and metaphysical teachings of Essene techniques for spiritual advancement. The authors’ retelling of the Passion of Christ and its aftermath is an extraordinary account that may forever reshape our understanding of these biblical events.

"As a youth taking confirmation classes, I began questioning what I was being taught. Religion didn't quite sit comfortably in my soul. It's not that I needed proof of God's existence--the fact that we are here on this life-giving planet and able to reproduce is evidence enough for me. Bible stories teach moral lessons I value, but something was missing.
I am not saying "The Way of the Essenes" is the answer, but it sure is intriguing and opens up more questions to explore. The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hammadi Codices have opened up new and/or clearer views of the life of Christ making him more accessible both as a married man and the Risen Christ. "The Way of the Essenes" clarifies for me Christ's message of love and the immediate accessibility of the kingdom of God.
Truly a stimulating and enlightening read, I highly recommend this book to anyone with an open mind. Rather than stealing something from my faith, this work served to deepen it.
Peace and joy to you."

- This book was so enjoyable to read it brought me to tears, it's divided into 3 books the 1st one is narrated by a young Essene (sons of the Sun) named Simon and his schooling at the Krmel for young seers and healers, they start at age 7 and stay for 6 years and also his sparse dealings with his young little friend Joseph (Jesus),the Krmel taught the esoteric teaching of the Knowledge of the One and also Egyptian,Himilayan and Moses and all religious beliefs, the boys came from a village in the Galilee people called the Village of the Brothers, they were not the sons of Abraham & Jacob they were much older and were called Nazarites impure or heretics. They learned how to direct their thought process and read Auras, they believed in reincarnation and soul travel when sleeping. They are taught the knowledge of what already is and prepare for Him to come. When people in a village are sick they call the Brothers of the Krmel and they would heal them by touching the sicks Aura. When Simon and his wife Myriam turned 16 they were taken aboard a flying craft by the Brothers of the Stars (Nordics) and shown the Galaxy and told the history of what is, another interesting part of book one is when they visit the underground tunnels at the Pyramids.Book 2 Simon and Myriam venture to the river Jordan to see their friends John the Baptist and Simons little friend Joseph now Jesus Christ, walking with Jesus he preached everyday occurrences, peace, love and made quips with the people to make them laugh and the crowed grew as he healed everyone he came in contact with, Jesus talk of 2 evil forces that came to Earth long ago and still dwell in the Serpent blood line, the Essenes were constantly being recruited by the Zealots but they refused, the rest of book 2 tells a surprising tale of Jesus betrayal, execution and supposed resurrection.Book 3 tells how Simon and Myriam die and that Jesus lived a long time teaching at the Krmel and left his body of his own free will, without question this is one of my all time favorite books even if your not Christian I think you'll enjoy it.

Peace and joy to you. - This is the third book I have read about the Essenes and the second one about Jesus and his training with the Essenes but this one goes way beyond the others in details about the general training that selected Essene children received, the training Jesus received from them and them in Egypt, India and Greece and the transformation He needed to undergo in order to fulfill his purpose in that lifetime. It finally provides a picture of Jesus that I can understand, one that explains why he had such an impact on his world at that time and why his being is worshiped rather than h is message understood. I have sought knowledge outside the church and have found the answers to questions that search has brought me in this book as well. As I read the book I wanted to just immerse myself in it, to be left alone to read and integrate. I found myself underlining some passages and then stopping to ponder and integrate those words. I found myself entering quotes in my daily journals and sharing them with others of like mind. There is much wisdom and what feels like Truth in these pages. I am sure I will return to this reference many, many times. I feel I am being transformed on some level by the reading of this book. As Jesus' teachers point out in these pages, it is not enough to have the knowledge to become a master. One must do the transformative work and know that that work will take a lifetime...or more.
- I have read many books on this subject, but this one, told by a young boy taught by the Brothers, is very different. It must be carefully read (including the introduction) for the first three chapters so you fully understand and can remember symbols, characters and key beliefs. The scenery and daily life of the people is drawn with exquisite accuracy, and you almost believe you are in school with
Simon; actually walking beside him as he learns. Anyone interested in learning about the Essenes would love this book. It would also make a great group discussion book, which my friends and I plan to do with it. - This is a wonderful book, and it was hard to put it down! It is true that the language is not always easy to read and requires occasional rereads and even looking up of words that I wasn't familiar with.(Remember it is a translation from French and the authors probably also had to "translate" concepts and ideas unique to 1st century Galilee that do not so easily translate in our modern language). The spiritual insights, however, are priceless. It was fascinating to learn of the Essenes way of life, to learn how they prepared and supported Jesus' mission, that the idea of reincarnation was alway part of their (and Jesus') teachings, that they knew about the fall of Atlantis, the connection with Mystery schools in Egypt, Greece, India and Tibet, and the connection with extraterrestrials. Certainly this book will not be welcomed by fundamentalists or other narrowminded people. But it is a heart opener for all who have always known that there is more to the story as the Bible tells it. I recommend it whole heartedly!
