• This book is an amazing collection of the body of knowledge associated with nearly all aspects (from what I can tell) of micro-biology and genomics. Definitely will always have a place in my library.
• Nicely written book and very useful to understand the concepts.
• I got a hand on this book during a yellow book sales at UCLA bookstore. The books basically breaks up in two parts biological introduction and computational methodology. The biological section covers protein, DNA and RNA structure. The computational methodology section is perhaps the gem of this book, covering topics like quantum chemistry, molecular mechanics and structure optimization. One thing that beg for more is the last chapter on chemoinformatics, which only touches on ligand-based approach such as chemical similarity comparison, QSAR but did not cover structure-based approach such as docking algorithm or pharmacophore generation. I hope these topics will be covered in the next edition of the book.
